Week 7 and beyond will be found back at blogger, a simpler space for me since this is just for personal use.
Week 6

We started our week with picture day at the homeschool building, and we had to grab lunch out afterwards! Otherwise, we had a full week and made progress! Nathan is doing a lot of fraction games in math, that’s just how his curriculum teaches. Samuel is testing to finish book 9 (out of 10) in Barton. On Friday, Brian helped the boys with a science lab. They made a solar powered wigglebot.
Week 5

This was a shorter week of school because I traveled to Wisconsin with my parents to visit my nephew. We still got in a fall art project, a science lab (made frubber) and other work. Sam also got some driving in with Brian! He gets his license this month!!
Week 4

Samuel made his assigned supper one night and it was so helpful to have someone else cook. Nathan is pictured using cards to work on fraction problems. We are moving ahead and doing the best we can.
Back to School

We have had some time off due to a death in the family. We’re trying to get back into the swing of things slowly. We did some cool/warm art, gotten back into our lessons and completed our first science lab, with Brian’s help.
1st Days

Our new school year has begun! We had a good first day! We did a lot of work and enjoyed lunch out with Brian. Our read aloud is interesting, the science topic (robotics) seems to interest them and we’ve already done an art project!
A New Year 2023-2024
Summer is coming to an end! We are getting ready to start the new year. We are using Sonlight curriculum for History, Bible, Geography, Science and our Read Alouds. The boys will continue Barton for reading plus their own math curriculum, Teaching Textbooks for Sam and Right Start for Nathan. We are using The Good and The Beautiful for Writing, Grammar, Handwriting and Art. Samuel will continue Duolingo for Spanish. I think that’s it but we’ll see how the year shapes up. We have a new supervising teacher this year, as well!

Final Week

Our final week went smoothly! We wrapped up lessons and books. We got to a stopping point in Barton and Math for the summer. We celebrated the end of the year at Spare Time!! Hunter was off so he joined us but Lily had to work. Lainey came to celebrate her last day, as well. On to summer break!!
Week 38

This week has been a lot of VR playing and there is always time for the pets. We finished our Bible curriculum for the year and just have 2-3 days of lessons left in everything else. We’re so close to summer break!!
Week 37

This week we had a graduation dinner and Mother’s Day! It was some fun family time together and I love that. As for school, we managed to keep moving forward so we will be finishing up in just two more weeks!! I’ve already turned in grades so we’re just wrapping things up and keeping up with the basics.
